Maroon Sleeveless Kurta Set with Lace-Up Back and Scalloped Hem

A short sleeveless kurta in rich maroon crush fabric with a crinkled, shimmering finish that changes with the light, made for sangeet nights, cocktail dinners and festive evenings. The square neckline keeps the front classic, while the lace-up back and balloon pants make it playful and modern.
THE CRAFT
Small flower-shaped buttis in cutdana work are set by hand across the kurta in an even, diamond-like scatter, so the maroon glimmers quietly. The hem and the dupatta edges are cut in a soft scallop, which keeps the lines of the set delicate. The back is open and criss-crossed with fine cords, tied at the waist with a tassel, and the gathered balloon pants taper in at the ankle. The scalloped dupatta drapes softly over the shoulders.
